So-What's the rush all about?
What's the Rush has been put together by adults and teenagers. We recognize that many young people don't drink or use drugs. Which is great! It's important to respect this choice.
HoweverWe also acknowledge that some people will choose to drink and use drugs. So it is important that these individuals have access to information that is not only informative and up to date, but also talks about safety and risks, which can be part of drinking and drug taking.
What's the Rush is based on the philosophy of harm minimisation - that is we recognize that the safest way to avoid drug and alcohol related harm is to not drink or use drugs.
But What's the Rush also acknowledges that we live in a drug using society and some people will choose this avenue - whether it be recreational use, occasional use, experimental use, regular use or dependent use.
